The Struggles of Meeting Good Looking People

humor writing. the struggle of meeting beautiful people

Have you ever laid eyes on someone so good looking you had no idea how to act? Of course you have. The minute you lay eyes on them, your mechanical cog machine of a brain stops working. You don’t know how to act, you don’t know how to speak. Essentially, you forget everything you’ve learned as an advanced human being.

So you meet a good looking human and convince yourself that maybe shaking their hands will calm your nerves. You go over, reach out in an attempt to produce a greeting followed by a handshake, but you find your own hands have been sweating profusely. Then, unsurprisingly, as you try to pronounce your name, you choke on your own saliva and drool halfway past saying your name.

You quickly try to recover from the ungodly amount of stupid you just made of yourself. You find yourself cutting out all eye contact with the good looking human who has caused you an existential crisis in a very short amount of time. Instead of looking at them you are now staring at their shoes, and in that moment you realize even their shoes are beautiful. You realize the perfectly proportionate size of their feet makes them even more good looking. How unfair!

And now you realize that God is great because he took his time with this one. You just happen to be one of the luckiest humans to have met them, even though you’ve just made a complete ass of yourself. Reversely, you’ve proven to them that God is, indeed, flawed for creating such a mistake that is you.

The point is–take your time to admire beautiful people. More importantly, you should definitely take the time to admire the beautiful one you see in the mirror, because you are just as beautiful as anyone else out there. Believe in the mysteries of the universe because you are beautiful and, without you ever knowing it, someone out there might just be admiring you in that same exact way.
